McFadden's assist gone again!

Anyone else missing points (again!) from Saturday's Everton/Villa match? Other than, you know, Villa.

In other news, Cisse is going to move to Tottenham? Way to get onto a team that doesn't have very tight competition for striker places, guy.

Tottenham already has Mido, Keane and Defoe so Cisse might just be left out again.

so is Ronaldo's SOT shd b 2 instead of 1

  5. Yes it is not fair at all!!!...

& why don't YAHOO fantsay give any points when a ball hits the post??!! Its always dangerous when it happens, wich is not the most of times a shot is on target, cause it can be very often "harmless on taget", so it is much more fair to give some good pts next year whenit happens...
In this game 4 example, J. McFadden almost scored the goal, the ball hit the post from inside and they from YAHOO didn't even give us the points of an assist, which it was because you use to give it in the most ridiculous situations such as 1cm pass when the player who scores still is too far from dangerous... come onnnnnnnnnn!

  6. & what about beattie assist! It is the same situation... ppl will certainly give up playing if YAHOO don't fix it!... when you make a mistake and you can fix, that's what you must do as soon as you can!... Many friends agree but they are just giving up playing... I will not do this, I enjoy it, so the only thing we all have to do is to protest, believe and wait. BUT DO IT!! NOW!!!

Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is. A shot is classified as an attempt that would be a goal if there is no keeper in the net to stop it (as it is in hockey).

If the shot does hit the post the goalie doesn't get a save, because he doesn't have to do anything to save it. i realize this is a bit of reach but, if the player gets a shot in this sit. why shouldn't the keeper get a save?

If the ball is not going to go in the net, it's not a successful attempt, therefore not a shot on target, period.

If you do start counting shots that hit the bar, which do you count? The ones that hit the outside and lead to a goal kick? The ones that cannon off the bar and outside the 18?

I think if there are points to be given in this situation, maybe give .5 pts for each attempt, but don't go giving full points for an unsuccessful attempt. And a deflection off a bar is not a pass, which means no assist.
