Respect the streak

Man City 2 - Aston Villa 1

Samaras continues to be hot, netting his 5th goal in as many games for club and country. Can he continue at pace, home to Wigan this weekend?

On a related note, if West Ham beat Bolton tomorrow, they will play at Man City on Monday the 20th, at Wigan on Saturday the 25th, and then at ManU on Wed the 29th. Will Pardew continue to rotate his strikers? Are his priorities in the league or the Cup?

Short version: Is Ashton still a good fantasy pick?

    Just to be different :p

Samaras may NOT start. Got involved in some battles in the 1st half and was subbed early in the 2nd half...

Ashton and Harewood will start and probably play majority of the FA Cup replay against Bolton tonight.

For the weekend league match vs Pompey, Ashton will definitely not start if they beat Bolton and he plays near to 90 minutes or more. However, if they are knocked out by Bolton, he might play Pompey.

As for Man City, it is not a league match. And Wigan is 5 days, a long time, from the Man City match that may not even exist. Man U? You are thinking too far ahead.

Samaras was subbed cause he was cleated in the back by ridgewell and run at by barry. Cole is still out, he'll start.

samaras might not start. pearce wants to lift the fa cup and for city to do that, they need to beat bolton/west ham. samaras won't risk samaras bcoz he needs him for the fa cup 48 hrs after city's game with wigan.

also, if bolton go thru, then allardyce will play a very weak team against sunderland. the bolton reserves could beat sunderland so there's no point in risking players like nolan and stellios when they have a game 2 or 3 days later. also ben haim might not play vs sunderland.

i'm going to have to restructure my whole team now since 5 of players play for either city, bolton or west ham.

Bolton are chasing a CL spot. This is much more important then the FA Cup. The points will take priority.

Agreed, Samaras loks unlikely to play against Wigan but you never know, he might come as sub.
