Barn Door Live - Oct. 3

Here are a few notes as well as the line-ups for me and Jeremy...

Players I'm tracking for potential Barn Door for two weeks from now (next week we have an International Break)...

RvP (I already have him this week but I'd be looking at him if I were you); Saha/Bily/Heitinga (and really anyone from Everton as they host Wolves next weekend); and Spurs players (especially SeaBass, THud, and Crouch) - I'll be mildly interested in ManYoo and Citeh players as their match-ups are at least somewhat advantageous next weekend.

My line-up: Given, Verm, SeaBass, Heitinga, Hunt, O'Hara, Kightly, Lennon, Drogba, RvP, Rooney

Jeremy's line-up: Given, Verm, SeaBass, Sonko, Hunt, O'Hara, Kightly, Lennon, Drogba, RvP, Rooney (believe it or not we arrived at line-ups this similar without talking about it during the week - when we IM'd about it yesterday we were both a bit bummed about it).

  2. Neal, I'm [almost] all in with you today....D. Murphy for Hunt is the only difference between our XIs

@Benj.... Gahhh!! could this be the first of many things that makes me regret passing up beer, pancakes and eggs for the live blog and spurs in HD (I swear I'm social... my friends might not understand my decision but I know you guys do!)

  3. Damn, I knew I should have gone with Jarvis until Kightly was consistently starting. Jarvis takes ALL the FKs and corners when Kightly and Milijas aren't on the pitch.

    I couldn't get into the live-chat today :/
Anyway. O'Hara filled in for Mokoena as DCM, which means we're lucky if he doesn't get negative points. Jarvis was pretty good tonight. Had 1 SoT and lots of crosses and a few CW.

  9. Brought in Bily, KPB, Rodwell and Zayatte on the BD... dropped O'hara, Kighly, D. Murphy and SeaBass (though SeaBass should be great against Pompey with Dawson partnering him at the back)

  11. - Black Cats got a great deal for 10 mil pounds! He puts the ball in the back of the net! Foolish for Spurs for selling him I think.
    - Got rid of DBent last week (Tough games coming up) but he's proved me wrong. When someone's on fire. stick with them!
    - I don't envision THudd playing Central Defense next week. That back line looked VERY shaky. Kranjcar had a solid first half, then vanished in the 2nd. Needs to be more consistent. Defoe seems cheap at 12 and change.

  14. If KRich kicked the ball away, he has to go. Stupid rule? Maybe, but surely a stupid play.

  16. KRich is such a bone head...honestly talk about a thick idiot! He cost his side 2 points today, Sunderland looked pretty good today, I was really surprised at how well they did on the counter attack. KJ was a beast, so strong with his back to goal.
