Dig For Victory

Calling all Pompey fans – we need your help to clear Fratton Park of snow and ice to give us the best chance of staging Saturday's Premier League game against Birmingham City...

Bring a shovel/spade and even a broom and wheelbarrow if you have them. Walkways, stairs and the pitch edge all need clearing.

Everyone who turns up to help out will be given two free tickets for the Birmingham game as thanks.

So there's your first match in jeopardy of cancellation this weekend.

Update:
Thanks to the efforts of more than 500 Pompey fans, the Blues have every chance of staging their Premier League fixture against Birmingham City on Saturday.

I do cause I'm kinda hoping they will get a clue some day...hasn't happended yet! Looks like the "Fantasist" will get a big fat "0" for this fixture for not keeping up with latest news. He/She recommended almost the entire Chelsea team which backfired due to Cancellation.

  4. - Fantastic run by Micah Richards! end to end basically! looking like shades of Bobby Orr!
    - Benjani favoured over Robinho/RSC.
    - Petrov favoured over Robinho/SWP.
    - Congrats to Burkina Faso for holding Ivory Coast to a nil-nil draw. Shots were something like 18-2. (Coast with only 8 SOT).

Only 26 points this week but with Tevez and MPet still to go. Looks like my week could be saved!

lovers of Barn door purchases might like to note that Tevez does not play a game the week after next due to the carling cup semi. Also, im sure others have noted it, but man utds double game doesnt make great sense - means the next deadline is a tuesday...

Tevez hattrick. Glad I kept him at 13.xx this week, makes up for the disappointment at keeping Bily and Kovac.

  10. - Tevez with 3! Anyone with him on their team this week will be happy this game was played.
    - Think Man U are kicking themselves NOW for not shelling out for money for him.
    - Benjani started to showcase him to transfer him?!

  11. I nearly gambled to keep him but did not. I got him Saturday morning again though at 15m so I am solid with a BD on it.

I have Given, Zabba (dabba do anyone?), MPet and Tevez playing tonight after a 21 point Saturday. Could be the best 60 point week I've ever had!!

Anybody out there who gambled on RSC, he just shot back down to 5xx...at that price I'll have a punt at it, considering he's playing against Everton

  15. "man utds double game doesnt make great sense" - JEREMY/NEAL anyone can explain next week YFF fixtures???

  16. @Danyel, The Man Utd game is the only game that weekend (Saturday) and the other fixtures are all being played on Tues/Weds. It makes more sense to include Man Utd in that fixture list given they don't have a game. The question becomes does it stay as a double gamer in YFF or not...

  17. Thank you Josh. But don't you (& all) think that whenever a game is played in a saturday, thats when the "IFF WEEK game" starts? So it would not be logical to include the 2nd Man Utd game in this next week. I believe this is a(nother) mistake from Yahoo! & it will be changed, don't you???

@ Danyel - I suppose in a way it makes sense - none of the injury news would be available to us for the Tuesday/Wednesday matches before the deadline if they started the week on the saturday. I much prefer it when there isnt a double week for just 2 teams tho, makes it far too predictable (Rooney, valencia, Kuz, Evra anyone?)...and I hate buying filler like mokoena!

now looks like 2 gamers then for Liverpool, Tot, Arse, and Bolton too as their postponed games are moved to Jan. 20.

Donovan list as a forward (too bad not in mid) but at a good price (6.99) for a guy taking kicks and sure to get some phantom points.

there are 2 kinds of people in this world.

those who don't root for pompey,

    and those who dig.

Wow Mokoena actually scored the winning goal for Pompey in the FA Cup...what the hell is he doing wrong in the Premier League? Score, Jesus!

  25. I'm still NOT convinced about this so strange man utd "double week" - nonsense!

  26. Yes, it looks like 6 teams will have a double week:
MAN UTD, HULL, TOTTENHAM, LIVERPOOL, BOLTON, ARSENAL.

West Ham/Wolves game is re schedualed for Feb.2 all this according to Bolton's website. (Spurs website confirmed their reschedualed game also)
