Sorenson, Hangeland and Shawcross all come into the match after being injury doubts though Wilkinson can only make the bench. He is joined there by former first team strikers Beattie and Fuller while Tuncay partners Sidibe on the pitch. Fulham also have Kelly in at right back in place of the injured Paintsil. Baird stays in central midfield with Murphy while Dempsey loses his place to Gera. AJ (all 7.28 in the fantasy game of him) partners Zamora.
For tomorrow's match, Arsenal expect to have Denilson and Arshavin back. However, Cesc has been definitely ruled out at least through the Everton match at the weekend. As for Bolton, the only word is about Coyle joining as manager, but that announcement will likely be face "late fitness test" to happen by match time.
Consider this your matchday open thread.
Just to note that Sorenson misses the match with Simonsen (confusing isn't it?) starting in his place.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Stoke's keeper on the bench is Danzelle St Louis-Hamilton who automatically gets a place in my all name team alongside Yves Makabu-Ma-Kalamby.
i really liked AJ @7.28, but with him starting today maybe more of a chance he won't start at the weekend?
ReplyDeletefinally Tuncay scores! anyone still have him at 1.00?
ReplyDeleteYeah, Tuncay scores and it doesn't matter. His price is still 5.xx. I have him for my triple gamers but got rid of him...I might bring him back, he's still 5.37. Ah well there goes my Baird clean sheet, I hope he gets a couple of SOT's to cover his price for the week.
ReplyDelete(Honduran-Saul)
With you, Saul.
ReplyDelete@Honduran-Saul - agreed, never could understand why so many were hopped up on keeping him. also didn't realize he had already scored once before.
ReplyDeleteideas on weather risks this weekend? i'm in california so don't know the forecast for UK, something to worry about 4-5 days from now?
Hey guys what do you think, does RSC play? I'm seriously considering dropping him for Tuncay. Tough decision though because it might come back to haunt me, then again...RSC may become the next Tuncay who never plays.
ReplyDelete(Honduran-Saul)
Tuncay off, Fuller on. Looks like a hammy. And with Burnley just days away... and it being @Burnley... cross Tuncay off my barn door list.
ReplyDelete@Jeremy - I just heard. What a shame that is, at least he got massive phantom points I'm sure. Good thing I haven't dropped RSC yet. On the other hand, Etherington's looking great...and maybe buy of the fixture.
ReplyDelete(Honduran-Saul)
But that doesn't mean I'm looking at RSC. Sturridge or AJ for me.
ReplyDeleteTrue, I just have a dilemma...get rid or keep RSC @4.65? Also, what do you think of S. Fletcher for the upcoming fixture? I've got Tevez, RSC, AJ. So many cheap choices, and include Franco and Sturridge as possible replacements for RSC.
ReplyDelete(Honduran-Saul)
do you guys think AJ will be set to play two matches in a week so soon after returning from injury?
ReplyDeletezamora off, shoulder injury?
ReplyDeleteNot my lucky night - got Zamora and Wilkinson. Still, seven players involved tomorrow night so hopefully they will make up for it. Saul - As a Hibs fan (his old club) I have a soft spot for Fletcher - he's never let me down when I've picked him either. Can't be worse than Wilko this week...
ReplyDeletebd - dempsey or duff?
ReplyDeleteAJ hasn't had much of an impact...
konchesky seems like he's finding some space, getting some good crosses in.
ReplyDeleteI got Zamora/Tevez/Diamanti up top for this weekend. What I miss about Zamora and an injury?
ReplyDeletewasn't watching at the time, but Zamora came of in the 54th minute, soccernet saying he landed hard on his shoulder, possible injury
ReplyDeletewow, what a goal from clint
ReplyDeleteOh and Jeremy, Ma-Kalamby or MaCalamity as he is known at Hibs (where he now plays) is an utter bombscare of a keeper - would not even have him in an all-name team, never mind a real one!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Richard. I'll remember that. Still love the name.
ReplyDeleteZamora likely dislocated shoulder. Dempsey (11.75) goal and assist. I think you have to grab him for the Pompey game at the weekend. Duff too, if you can find room. Fulham are @Blackburn and @Spurs after that so he may be worth it for even another week.
This is just making it harder to afford/find room for Chelsea players. And I'm struggling with that fact.
konchesky was limping towards the end of game. quite badly.
ReplyDelete@Jeremy - Good recommendation on Duff and Dempsey...I have both and also brought back Etherington for the game against Burnley.
ReplyDelete(Honduran-Saul)
Wow if Zamora's out for the next game you definitely gotta consider AJ. I'm stuck as I currently have Tevez/Diamanti/AJ but can't decide whether to go AJ or S. Fletcher...Both are good options.
ReplyDeleteMy Team as it looks...
Given
Vermaelen/Bale/Baird
Eagles/Duff/Dempsey/Etherington
Tevez/Diamanti/AJ or S.Fletcher?
Changes to come, of course!
(Honduran-Saul)
@Jeremy - I'm leaning more towards Dempsey rather than Duff, especially if Zamora is out and Demps gets to play forward again. And he didn't have to play the full 90, Duff did, and looked like he was limping a bit at times towards the end. and he's cheaper...
ReplyDeleteI'm keeping an eye on Zhirkov, Beletti, J.Cole, and of course Sturridge as cheap Chelsea options that have a decent chance of a start.
@Honduran-Saul - Etherington looked really great yet again.. are you still liking AJ after today?
@Bean - Etherington's definitely on my team but in the forward lineup it's between AJ, S. Fletcher, Franco, Sturridge...just so many friggin options. Who would you consider?
ReplyDelete(Honduran-Saul)
Went ahead and snagged Dempsey, but at 14. Jeez. Oh well.
ReplyDelete@lucidswirl: u got him a bit late, his price just rose to 14, it was close to 12, something like 11.xx!
ReplyDeleteI dropped Dempsey and Etherington. Doesn't sound like the smart thing to do, but I just had other people on my mind that i simply HAD to get!
ReplyDeleteSnagged Dempsey before the price increase. Really happy with the 3 players I had playing today - Tuncay, Duff and Etherington. Brought my total to 192 for the week with 5 players left for tomorrows match. Gameweek 17 is starting to look salvageable....
ReplyDeleteI know Duff, Dempsey and Etherington are extremely great choices for the next week but what about Milner? All four of them are above 10 now and are too expensive to get all, so can anybody recommend the best three?
ReplyDeleteCharles
@HonduranSaul - I like the S.Fletch pick, most people won't consider him. I'm worried AJ won't be in the starting lineup this weekend, but who knows. Franco could be good, he's just burned me when I've picked him. I've been lucky with F.Campbell (4.56) a few times, good cheapo.. Also interested in J.Vaughn (4.95) after the Arsenal match.
ReplyDeletedrats I sold Clint when I switched back to 3-4-3 to pick up Tevez. Kept Arshavin instead. crap!! Well I still have enough money to drop Arsh and get Clint if Arsh has another shite day tomorrow.
ReplyDeletePicked up another 50 some points today with Clint, Duff, and Eth. Sitting on 207 with Almunia, Verm,
Nasri, Arsh, and Eduardo to play tomorrow. Gotta love the triple gamers!
@bean - S. Fletcher it is!!! Thanks for the feedback.
ReplyDelete@mags - I got 207 points so far as well with 5 to play...Gallas/Verm/Eduardo/M.Tay/Arshavin. Good week so far I think and looking forward to getting more points tomorrow. How about that Fulham-Stoke match, it was one of 2 halves...it's amazing how Stoke pulled it off considering Fulham's form as of late. Just comes to show you that no team is small in the Premier League and I love it! Best league in the world.
(Honduran-Saul)
i may drop cesc would you go lampard or gerrard
ReplyDeleteCan you believe Juan Sebastian Veron turned down Manchester City...geez he just missed out on a bundle of cash. Would've been interesting had he accepted, he's been amazing for Estudiantes in the Argentinan league...and best player in years.
ReplyDeleteGood to know Manchester City are looking for an attacking midfielder though, some amazing talent should be coming for them and Fantasy Managers...but then again maybe not.
(Honduran-Saul)
Anyone considering Darren Bent? He scores quite often at home. I think he'll be able to get big pts against Bolton's defence.
ReplyDeleteGood question on Cesc. I've got him at 14 and am inclined to keep him. I am having the same dilemma with Drogs at 10. Any thoughts? I am at 208 pts. with 2 to play. My line up for the weekend.
ReplyDeleteAlmunia or Given
Bale/Verm/Givet
Duff/Cesc/Bily/Aqualani
Drogs/Nando/Rooney
does any1 know why darren gibson has been dropped i thought he was in good form?
ReplyDeleteARSENAL GAME IS OFF..gooooood one! There goes 7 players points!
ReplyDeleteFor the above poster who asked, I still have Tuncay a $1. He's now gotten me 28 points for the 13 or 14 I've invested. If the rest of my team gave me the same return on investment I would score 200 points a week. Glad I stuck with him.
ReplyDeleteno more 3 gamers for Arsenal & Bolton...
ReplyDeleteso ASSharvin's week 17 point is now officially 8.50 and dead to all of us....
Fung
