How did it go?

I am suffering through a lousy sports weekend.  Mostly because I'm getting crushed in fantasy football.  But certainly the San Diego Chargers didn't help.

I'm on 67.5 for the week.  The big disappointments were Given and Tevez.  Combined, as Neal has kindly pointed out, they scored as many points as Salgado.  No Almunia; no Cesc. I didn't pick Malouda because I was worried about Sturridge getting the playing time.  And while my two-gamers did okay, and I'm happy to have them in the next round. I'm not expecting anything but more heartache - and fewer points than those with Almunia; Cesc; etc - on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, I have the week to think about Given and Tevez and how the f'd me this weekend.   Do I keep them with NO GAMES this week because they have a good run - POR, @Hull, Bolton, @Stoke - upcoming?

What would you do, how did you do this week?

I'm having one of my best fantasy weeks in quite some time -- 107.5 so far, on the back of fabulous performances from Fab and Almunia, and strong ones from Verm, Bale, and Donovan. On the other hand, 107.5 being so great for me probably gives you an idea of how crappy my overall season has been.

And I'm from Minnesota, so pretty happy about the domestic football results too.

i have dropped tevez last week simply because of the upcoming no game..i still have given though but tempting to put him away for robinson for more money at other department

but since u still have him last week, it will be nonsense to drop them now..just suck up the zero points and see how it goes

On another note -- Fab's price dropped to 17.5??? Not that I'm complaining I suppose, but that makes so. little. sense.

depending on how much you had them at. for keeper... i would say, do a keeper rotation policy(keep when there is a good fixture row) . so i would say ditch given. for tevez, see his discount. if 1.50 or more , i'll keep. as for tevez issue, at least you don't have to worry over RSC. but K2 will be your worry, as he is free to join up for action since togo was expelled from the tournament( no further explanation required) , which means in FIFA sense, he will be eligible ANYTIME for Man City. IF you go along this point of view , then ditch tevez.

and alot people are getting onto the Fab wagon. i had that strange feeling that he will not perform/ not appearing due injury next week. call me a jinx, but the moment i said about arsenal injury issue, they had denilson injuried yet AGAIN. and Nasri as well in training. boo. the only one not under the arsenal injury curse as i had realized was by the name arShavIN .

Everton's catching fire, time to load up on them so Howard's a possibility...

Got a feeling that City's mini-Mancini revival might be short-lived. It's the same bunch of players so prob good to ditch Given since he's no guarantee of points with his crappy defenders.

Evds is clearly the pick for the week.

  7. i have 122.5 thanks mostly due to 4 cleansheets from robinson, vermaelen, nelsen, bale, plus cesc, whom i had at 17. only eduardo, tevez and diaby disappointed. i had diaby at a discount, which has since disappeared, so i left him in my team. i knew, when denilson got hurt, that he would have to cover, the first game for him in a more defensive postion. denilson might be back for the second game, so i am hoping that diaby gets pushed up. if eduardo underperforms again, i will change him for donovan. i paid full price for valencia and i might change him out for pienaar, since i hate picking manure players. the only barndooring i did was nzogbia, noone has him so i am hoping he keeps on his tear.

Sitting on 89 points so far, which I'm fairly happy with after a run of terrible weeks. Hoping my two-gamers continue to come through for me in midweek, though I'm regretting my Fabio Aurelio/Sturridge decision instead of Bassong/Crouch. Oh well. Can't win them all.

  9. denilson is back so diaby goes up a little further and he has a chance to get of my shit list right now.

  10. 118. PRobbo set me apart from the pack in my league. Excited about that Diaby/Denilson news @greginho. Diaby was one of only two single digit performers for me.

Sitting at 85 pts with 8 two-gamers. Got rid of Tevez for next game week as I didn't have him at much of a discount. Got rid of Arshavin before the gameweek as he has been total cr@p for way too long.

  14. 98.5 pts with 8 to go! I just realised that my pts do not add up to the total of the week. Silly me! I'm glad Kranjcar and Modric did not disappoint, even tho Spurs were held to a draw by The Boaz. Aquilani? Need I say more?

  17. 101.5 so far, a very good haul for me in what has been a bad year. cesc and almunia, sure, but good contributions across the board. pretty pleased with donovan; i think i'll probably have him in my squad all year.

since Tevez's price wont go up next week i suggest to drop. Plus, Chelski's having a DG.
