Opinion, commentary and humour on fantasy English Premier League football, the English Premier League, Major League Soccer and international football. From people who should know... better.

given dunne baird givet gerrard mtaylor ohara etherington barmby kalinic tevez
If you want an additional source for assistance with this addictive game, check out my blog on url below. I will blog regular updates on how my team is looking each week and will ensure my final team is on at least 1hr before the deadline. This will give you a chance to compare your team against mine.
D'oh! I was .5 away from upgrading Giovanni to Hunt. Just couldn't swing it. Would have turned a decent week (currently 101.5) into a great one.
The Verm swing definitely killed some fantasy managers. He went from 39% ownership to 31%. Shows to never sell off a player at discount until you're absolutely sure how long he'll be out.
really glad I stuck with Bale, Verm, and Rooney! Surprised to get at least 0.5 points from Schwarz considering the score line. He should do better in his 2nd game!
@SF: IMHO, Anelka will outscore Hugo, RJ might outscore Givet, but not by as much - I'd probably stick with Anelka myself, given the match ups! Just my opinion though!
Anyway, with regards to these triple-gamers...are we sure these will remain like that? Surely the games on 16th & 17th Feb (Wigan v Bolton isn't on the 16th, like Yahoo says) should be in next week's fixtures (week 23), otherwise there will be no fixtures that week...would be great to get this confirmed with Yahoo (Jeremy?!) :)
This issue notwithstanding, Citeh still have the best matchups, while Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton all play each other, and that's a minefield for any fantasy team! Gonna be another tough week I reckon.
' We all understand why Liverpool aren't doing so - they just don't have the money even if it would be a strong investment. "
Liverpool is as highly unlikely to get a big player in during the mid season; this is pretty much the same for all other teams(unless you need a player in 'early' so that he will be firing on all cylinders in the NEW season. And we just sold dossena and voronin, with babel on the 'maybe' list. With or without these players, its still the same since these are 'not good enough'. Moreover our players are coming back, so why buy? makes absolutely no sense. L Neill was sold for profit, that a good thing. No? he isn't young anymore. and maybe his wages are pretty high (since he move to goodison park as a free agent). And back to anfield, we are left with only europa as external competition, more rest for players as well. that should means a less stress on the players bodies. And we therefore don't need to buy(with some youngsters maybe needing those time on the field). i can't speak for other clubs, but for Liverpool, this is it. ~Newbie
seemed like what i said before[the above] came true. (pending Vasilis Torosidis's signing as this is being typed)

ReplyDeleteOne area I feel we could get a better experience is if your team is posted 1hr before the deadline so we can compare against our team.
With this in mind, I thought I will start a blog;
