Monday Morning Manager

A quick look at today's transfer news and an even quicker nod to tomorrow's Hull/Chelsea match... blog roundtable style.

[08:36] JSpitzberg: kamara to celtic
[08:36] JSpitzberg: sigh
[08:36] JSpitzberg: shorey. mcc. any other moves?
[08:36] Neal J Thurman: not really
[08:37] Neal J Thurman: Dindane to Rovers looks likely as a Benni replacement
[08:37] Neal J Thurman: Moses to Wigan
[08:40] JSpitzberg: did i mention that i like my team without drogs?
[08:40] Neal J Thurman: lol
[08:40] Neal J Thurman: no, but that's a fine attitude
[08:41] JSpitzberg: but i'm terrified of a team without drogba
[08:41] Neal J Thurman: I am too
[08:42] Neal J Thurman: will have to see how things go mid-week and then over-react
[08:42] JSpitzberg: that's the plan ;-)
[08:46] Neal J Thurman: Wigan signs a 2nd striker Marcelo Moreno from Shakhtar Donetsk
[08:47] JSpitzberg: uh oh
[08:47] JSpitzberg: hrod now a doubt?
[08:47] JSpitzberg: or shunted to left wing?
[08:47] JSpitzberg: why they messing with us?
[08:48] Neal J Thurman: lol - hard to see either taking a ton of time from Yayga as Moses and Moreno will both be adapting to the Prem and all
[08:49] JSpitzberg: but scotland looking for a loan deal
[08:49] Neal J Thurman: most likely
[08:57] Neal J Thurman: although I'm guessing that he's still the 2nd option at striker
[09:01] JSpitzberg: given got his points this week...
[09:01] JSpitzberg: surely that it for a while
[09:01] JSpitzberg: not exactly a model of consistency
[09:03] Neal J Thurman: looks like the late news is coming in...Beattie to Sunderland...Gago to Citeh...Hutton to Sunderland...with rumors still circulating about Pav to Brum, Ilan to WHU, and Adam Johnson to Citeh
[09:04] Neal J Thurman: Dindane not going to Rovers so he's back to Pompey (hopefully this doesn't get in the way of Utaka starting midweek)
[09:05] Neal J Thurman: Keane to Celtic on the table as well apparently
[09:05] JSpitzberg: like the hutton move
[09:06] JSpitzberg: gago? don't they have enough in that spot?
[09:06] Neal J Thurman: you'd think
[09:06] JSpitzberg: beattie... good move too
[09:06] Neal J Thurman: yes but more so if they're planning to cash in on Kenwyne
[09:07] JSpitzberg: yes, but still good to have an option
[09:07] Neal J Thurman: agreed - could be prelude to selling off KJ in the summer
[09:08] JSpitzberg: lighting a fire under him, etc
[09:08] Neal J Thurman: that too
[09:10] Neal J Thurman: RKeane to Celtic is confirmed - apparently the lesson is not to cross Harry on Christmas parties
[09:10] Neal J Thurman: Hutton to SUN confirmed
[09:11] JSpitzberg: and that celtic needs strikers
[09:11] Neal J Thurman: nice fantasy value if they ever get their CBs back and have hopes of a CS again
[09:11] JSpitzberg: sale or loan for keane?
[09:12] Neal J Thurman: I think a sale but nothing specific
[09:12] Neal J Thurman: loan
[09:14] Neal J Thurman: Brazilian striker Ilan to WHU on an Italian passport so no work visa issues
[09:22] JSpitzberg: Didier Drogba will start at Hull, Ashley Cole a doubt.
[09:23] Neal J Thurman: the former not really a surprise
[09:23] Neal J Thurman: here's hoping Elk gets all the points instead :-)
[09:23] JSpitzberg: 'It will be a similar team to against Burnley, Didier will play from the beginning, and also Deco and Ricardo Carvalho had recovery time against Burnley and will play from the start,' said the Italian.
[09:23] JSpitzberg: new liv fullback
[09:24] Neal J Thurman: who i sthe Liv fullback?
[09:27] JSpitzberg: sorry, read it wrong
[09:27] JSpitzberg: fulham signed german u21 from liv
[09:28] Neal J Thurman: yeah - guess he'll get some run with Konch injured
[09:28] Neal J Thurman: (German is apparently a left back)
[09:29] JSpitzberg: what about shorey and kelly?
[09:29] Neal J Thurman: maybe the German is the solution for next year (loan was 18 months)
[09:32] Neal J Thurman: Pav to Brum off
[09:32] Neal J Thurman: Begovic to Stoke on
[09:34] JSpitzberg: that's a big blow to pompey
[09:34] JSpitzberg: he's good
[09:34] JSpitzberg: real good
[09:37] Neal J Thurman: that is too bad for them - they only got 3.5 for him too
[09:37] JSpitzberg: not bad for a keeper...
[09:37] Neal J Thurman: true
[09:38] JSpitzberg: per our BBBF discussion
[09:38] Neal J Thurman: maybe Arsenal should have gone after him since Almunia sucks
[09:38] JSpitzberg: THAT would have been a great idea
[09:40] Neal J Thurman: at some point this week I'm going to do a full-on analysis of the ills at Arsenal (that are really only ills when compared to CHE and ManYoo, they're still pretty clearly the 3rd best team in England and top 8 or so in the world)
[09:46] JSpitzberg: Adam Johnson to Citeh
[09:46] JSpitzberg: should be behind MPet
[09:46] JSpitzberg: but nice signing
[09:46] JSpitzberg: Boro cashing out
[09:47] Neal J Thurman: I think his deal was up at the end of the season so might as well take the cash

i surf the ESPNSTAR - transfer zone and sighted JWilkshere loan to Bolton.

seems a good fantasy filler?bargain? as hutton does..

Wilshere's a good player and deserves to start for Bolton but I doubt he will get in the team that fast. He'll be playing from the bench, just like Weiss. If he can get at least 1 start and 2 sub appearances, then he's worth a punt.
