Sir Alex Ferguson is convinced Paul Scholes will be as good as new next season despite his continuing eye problems.Scholes is a fantasy team killer. Plays an amazing game... 3 SOT's, game winning goal, takes a free kick or two... so you buy him even though he's not too cheap. And then he'll disappear for weeks. So you sell him. And he goes wild again. Never fails. And it looks like he'll be back next year to kick us around again.
The former England star has admitted he may never be completely clear of blurred vision which forced him to miss over four months of the season.
With Scholes returning, and Ribery a possible addition on the left, does that leave Giggs as an understudy to them both? And with Smudger and O'Shea sharing the holding role, along with Ronaldo, Park and Richardson; does Fergie have his 2006-2007 midfield in place?
A better question is "how many games does the Ginger Prince get once Riquelme is wearing the red jersey?"
ReplyDeleteGiggs probably becomes a Ljungberg-like platoon player in the mix w/ Park on the left and Riquelme/Scholes in the middle.
Other than Riquelme, assuming he arrives, and Ronaldo the ManYoo midfield is probably not of much use to fantasy managers. O'Shea will have some value if he's still listed as a defender and you can figure out when he's going to start. (Contingent on SAF buying Diarra, Duscher, or someone else for the holding role)
