Andy Carroll Fitness Doubt

Newcastle striker Andy Carroll is struggling to be fit for today’s visit to Wolves.

The 20-year-old star, who scored his first Barclays Premier League hat-trick in last weekend’s 6-0 drubbing of Aston Villa, is struggling with an ankle injury.

Carroll picked up the knock in training on Thursday and was unable to take part in the final team session yesterday morning.

  2. Ok, Crouch?! I'm doubting he'll play the full 90 having played against YB midweek. Harry might give the others a run out instead.
    Elmander? No thanks.
Midfield I could go Petrov or Downing?
I'm not really liking the the alternative to losing Carroll +5.38, will think some more. Leaning towards Petrov or gamble on Baloteli?! or even Ramires...

Keeping Caroll, even if he doesnt play, If i sell today, i will not buy later on for double the price!!!! I hate last minute changes as they always turn out to be the worst!!!

There's word floating around that Ivanovic has trouble with his back, since yesterday. Ferreira might get another start.

If Carroll sits this one out, who plays upfront for Newcastle? Does Nolan still play as aux. striker, in that case too?

Ramires might be in for a start.

And if only somebody could tell me who of Crouch/Pavlyuchenko/Keane/Defoe would start...life would be so much easier.

Should be Crouch starting for Tottenham...
He had an amazing mid-week game and scored a hatrick, his momentum is high and Arry should keep faith in him, especially that defoe and pav are doubts...

As for Newcastle, even if Caroll doesnt start, Nolan's position will not be affected as Ameobi will be in for a start to replace Caroll.

I wouldnt count on Ramires for now, still waiting to see how he fits in the team.
I'd also get away from Ivanovic and Ferreira as they are being rotated, Go for the safer option with JT or Alex if you really want a piece of the Chelsea action at home against Wigan

One more thing, if you really wanna do good in this game, try to get away from the "Doubts", a player that actually is a guaranteed starter and gets 5 points is usually better than a player who is a "doubt" for his next game.

  12. Damn, my power went out last night and JUST came back on. I quickly log on to find not just Andy Carroll injured, but Chamwow on the bench. FMT.
