Your early look at the news ahead of tomorrow's team press-conferences, after the jump.
- Bilyaletdinov starts, takes kicks and leaves with a groin injury
- Guillermo Franco joins West Ham. He's 32-years old. I figure him for no more than cover for CCole.
- Lucas Neill joins Everton. Another defender who can play right and center. Moyes seems to be collecting them all.
- K2 3-match ban finalized. He'll miss their matches @ManU, Fulham in the Carling Cup and West Ham in the League.
- Rio a doubt for the Manchester derby with Evans likely to keep his place.
- Tamir Cohen, despite 2 goals in 2 games, isn't ready to start regularly.
- Speaking of Bolton, Gretar Steinsson to play on the right of midfield?
- Van Persie likely back for the Wigan match, but Denilson out. Mannone should start again.
- Wolves could have Kightly, Ebanks-Blake, Foley and Craddock back for Fulham
The Steinsson thing wasn't much of a surprise. He was listed as a midfielder last week. Check ESPN Soccernet's Match Action. They have a device called Average Position which charts a player's position on the field. Steinsson was pushed slightly in front of Sam Ricketts, according to this software.
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't Ashley Young feature in Everton's Europa League Game this week?

ReplyDeleteAshley Young - EVERTON???
Unless Ashley Young is playing for 2 clubs, I believe he is still in Aston Villa.
ReplyDeletePerson who posted about Ashley Young complete co*khe*d!
ReplyDeletePerhaps that's why he/she prefers to be anonymous? Anyway..hands up who is all over BFAY this weekend?
ReplyDeletehands up!
ReplyDeleteWOW, just been on Skysports.com and there seems to be a lot going on this weekend...Reo Coker and MO'N have had a tussle, Arry is claiming that Chelsea aren't in the same league as Utd, Cesc and Eboue have slated K2, Fergie has called Man City cocky and cast doubt over Tevez' ability! It's all going off this weekend. And to make things even better, my Saints are going to get their first win this season at home to Yeovil Town and hopefully be on -2 points for the season come Sat night!
ReplyDeleteI could get BFAY, but only if I double down on the Hull defense with Sonko and Myhill. Not sure I'm ready to do that. What about picking Myhill and going with Warnock in addition to Gabby?
ReplyDeleteJeremy,
ReplyDeletebirmingham does only have two goals all season and one of the goalscorers is injured, so two hunt defenders is not a bad thing.
i just would rather have taylor than young. aston villa is going through milner more than young, but milner is not producing fantasy-wise.
so mayber warnock is the better choice.
a must have for this week is s. hunt. try to get him in, if you don't have him.
I've gone with the Warnock/Gabby option as well. Hoping my enabler midfield comes through to support GJohn, Stevie, Warnock, Gabby and Drogs.
ReplyDeletethanks, guys. myhill/warnock in the lead, though I haven't pulled the trigger yet. nothing like torturing myself for a few hours more.
