So do I ditch Liverpool (@Burnley) and Sunderland (@Hull) and go for the likes of Tevez and K2 (@Arsenal)? They have a double game week next week, but I don't want to get too caught up in that and miss out on points this week. But maybe I won't.

I went from Gerrard/Maxi/Reina to Tevez/Adebayor/Green. And I'm devestated.
Ouch. We've all done it but that's a pretty sore one.

@Owen: tough break, but why did you think Liverpool would rest its talismanic midfielder and the likes of Maxi who did not travel to Madrid midweek? Those two were always gaurenteed to start.
ReplyDeleteIt was almost an honest mistake. The almost is because there wasn't any risk managing. I would not have gone with 2 forwards on the same team in an away game vs. Arsenal.
ReplyDeleteIt was more sensible from a risk/reward perspective to keep maxi and tevez, or gerrard and adebayor...I would've opted for gerrard/adebayor because he's playing against his old club, and gerrard is never benched in a home game as long as he can walk.
Reina for Green was a good move imo, freeing up more money for you (depending on what price you had Reina at).
I did go with 2 forwards from the same team a week earlier (Carew, Agbonlewhore) as their 2xgames made up for the riskiness of that pick.
Don't sweat it, next week's double game is where you can make some ground.

I've never been so brassed off with 15 points from Droggers- when Chelski run riot you'd expect him to be in the 30s. However, it kinda sums up this season - my biggest mistakes have been dropping Drogba for the ANC, Vermo and Rooney at heavy discount. Consequently I couldn't fit Lamps and Drogs into the same line-up whereas others could.
