Decision Tomorrow

Seemingly unimpressed by my attempts to jinx him

From Carlo Ancelloti's press conference:
'Some players I want to rest, for sure will start from the beginning Ballack, and Kalou in place of Joe Cole. For the strikers I want to take a decision tomorrow.

'All players want to play 90 minutes and Deco was not happy when he came out [against Aston Villa] after doing a good job for 70 minutes. I said it is better to play well for 70 minutes than bad for 90 minutes.

'Defensively we are doing well, I don't have a possibility to change some players, Ferreira, Alex, Terry, Zhirkov are doing well.

Finally on a defensive note, Ashley Cole trained for the first time today with the rest of the squad, after fracturing his ankle in February. He is still pencilled in by the medical department for a return to action against Stoke a week on Sunday.

And in related striker news:
"Fernando Torres was examined by a knee specialist this afternoon in Spain. He received treatment and will continue to do so over the next few days, with the injury being reassessed later this week."

Worth hanging on to Torres at a very slight discount and hoping he gets better in time, or dropping him to move to Villa players before their prices change?

I plan on dropping Torres. Can't afford the chance of another 0 from my most expensive player this close to the end of the season.

  3. why would you want any liverpool players especially torres? over the last four games, salgado has had more fantasy points than all of the liverpool team, with the exception of glen johnson. salgado even had more points than torres and i bought salgado for 4.33, glen johnson had 6 more points and cost around 14 dollars.

@ Gavin - Lose Torres, for me it's on the permanent.

I decided to give up Tevez for the upcoming match against ManU as well, I'm going double gamers at every chance. Decided to hold Bendtner at 5.80, just b/c frankly it's been paying big dividends.

  5. - Got rid of Torres also. Took Gabby instead for the DG'er.(Gabbby's price actually went DOWN the other day I believe)
    - Yes, Bendtner at 5.80 is paying huge dividends! Cannot find a starting quality striker for that cheap. (Or a middie for that matter)
    - Finally got rid of Given for the week (Had him at 5 and change) but BFFF playing Hull AND Pompey (granted both are away) but STILL. matchups don't get MUCH better than that. worth gutting the keeper position for.
    - Anyone who has wednesday off SHOULD watch the NLD. Neal, my day is booked off from work! Yours should be too!

Yeah - I lucked out a few weeks back and landed AJ for 5.55 too, he's staying, probably for the rest of the season (barring disaster).

  7. once again everything is wrong about the advices of "the Fantasist", since CHOOSE 'EM = Myhill ( -9 pts ) to LOOSE 'EM = Tevez (2 goals)... as you can see here: http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/fantasy-football-blog/article/26085/

...& it's been like this week after week. I think I'll guide myself from him just to do trhe opposite. What a self callled "guru" hum...

P.S. Of course he doesn't have to guess everything. But, to make any sense, he should (or must because it's his job & YAHOO's name's on it) just try to spend more than 5 minutes writing his article.

@ Owen - Meant to say this before, but Torres' price actually went up some change... and he didn't play! Can anyone explain that one to me?

Probably Torres price went up because a lot of people bought him last week anticipating he'll play.
