Adding 'em up

It's a bit confusing, but while ESPNSoccernet is leading with the 8-2 scoreboard, ESPN Soccer has gone with the day's total score, and bigger picture.

I still prefer London 0 Hull 4.

  1. Nice how they chose an image of Dzeko happy as teenage girl at the sight of Justin Bieber while picturing Rooney as slightly depressed by "only" scoring three goals.

161.50 today. What a day even though Spurs lost. It takes me up to 2,299. I missed the barn door, but I am fairly happy with my current team. Still, a lot of season left to play, though.

Arsenal the new Derby? (Sorry couldn't resist). Or my Spurs could be the next Derby, but at least we got K2 coming. Arsenal have 3 days to get like 5 players. Piers Morgan (from CNN) was on FSC today (Arsenal fan) was letting them have it.

(For the record I hate Liverpool more than Arsenal).

  4. no steve, blackburn is. arsenal is still a decent team when vermaelen, sagna, song, gervinho, wilshare and gibbs are back.

  5. I agree with the poster above that Arsenal are probably the 5th to 7th best team in England when fully fit.

Are Blackburn that bad? Check out Evertons fantasy points against them, very low all over the park for the attacking players.

  7. i too root for spurs over the other top teams. i would rather arsenal finish 1st and spurs and fulham finish 2nd and 3rd each year with united, pool and chelsea getting relegated, but this is not the year for them.
it is strange because, in the last 2-3 years, arsenal and chelsea have been getting off to smoking starts with united and even city, starting average, but turning it on after the holidays and for crunch time.
i finished with 178 points even with switching out young for van der vaart, that cost me 28.5 points. just going to say that united and city will not keep the form up and it just means the chasers need to maximize points.

  8. I remember last season when everyone was crowning Chelsea champs after a month. It's a loooong season. As a Chelsea fan struggling severely in YFF, that's all I can tell myself right now.

  9. What's the difference between Soccernet and Soccer then? I never knew about Soccer.

Did it have to take an 8-2 bashing for AW to realise he had to strengthen his team? Even a 5th grader with minimum knowledge of football saw that coming.... I think this last minute rush is too little too late. Arsenal will be lucky to make top 6 this season. If they still make 4th, then I will be a life time supporter of AW.
