We won't see Bendtner or Clichy again for a month
via Sky Sports:
Gibbs is 6.23 and looks a good bet all of a sudden.
Also, with Bendtner out for a similar length of time, a Premier League fantasy manager's eyes will wander to Eduardo (8.28) or the perpetually returning Rosicky (9.06).
via Sky Sports:
Arsenal defender Gael Clichy is facing a month on the sidelines after suffering a suspected stress fracture in his lower back.
The left-back is an integral member of Arsene Wenger's first XI but has been forced onto the treatment table after sustaining the injury.
France international Clichy will miss Wednesday's UEFA Champions League clash with AZ Alkmaar and the next European clash against Standard Liege on 24th November.
The problem will also keep him out of the reckoning for the forthcoming Premier League games against Wolves, Sunderland and London rivals Chelsea.

Gibbs+SPetrov or Wilkinson+Nasri?

among nasri, rosicky, and eduardo -- who is more likely to play for arsenal this weekend??
ReplyDeleteI think Eds is the most likely...he'll probs partner RvP upfront.
ReplyDeletewell, at least play the right-sided attacker. Though w/o Bendtner, Arsenal loses a physical presence... a presence they've lacked - and been criticized for lacking - in recent years. And one that they'll need after the matches against Wolves & Sunderland. CHE, MAC, Stoke, LIV.
ReplyDelete(Note that the sched does get easy again towards Xmas - Burnley, Hull, Villa, Pompey.
I hope Nasri is fit for the next game..and Walcott & Rosicky will recover faster..
ReplyDeleteAND i hope diaby get injured after this..haha
So then, we'll have better team!

Arsenal seem to get hit by injuries every season and they've suffered badly in the past few seasons. This season has to be their best start for many years. They have been coping very well with injuries.
ReplyDeleteNot sure on whether to get Eduardo. The last time I bought him Wenger decided to play a 5-man-midfield.
Red Devil.
I guess I will give Gibbs a shot, if he will be playing that is. Hmm.
ReplyDeleteJeremy & Neal - You guys are great at giving advice on players to choose and who to not. Would there be a reason for me to make changes to my below squad?
ReplyDeleteGiven--
Vermaelen/Heitinga/Kyrgiakos
MTay/Dunn/Fletcher/A.Reid/Huddlestone
Drogba/Tevez
I'd greatly appreciate some feedback. thanks all and best regards, (Saul)
Rodwell away at West-Ham, or Palacios at home to Sunderland?
