Wigan conclude Heskey dealWigan Athletic have completed the signing of Emile Heskey from Birmingham for a club record £5.5 million.
The 28-year-old England international penned a three-year deal at The JJB Stadium after agreeing personal terms with the Lancashire outfit.
We'll just reiterate what
we said here back in May:
Heskey may be valuable (and I fully expect some EPL club to waste millions of pounds on him this summer), but he certainly isn't an asset. If he were an asset, Birmingham would still be in the EPL and we wouldn't be having this discussion.
