No chance for CS points from my two players today...Have Bale and EvdS. Hopefully they can still manage positive points. Ugly games so far today.

red card for Nani, but how come he's suspended for Carling Cup final instead of the next Premier League game?
anybody can answer that one? and kindly provide links for more suspension rules?
i googled it but couldnt find it
    thanks

  3. 3-game suspension for Nani so he misses @EVE, WHU, and the Cup final. At least, that's my best guess.

  4. - Gudjohnsen was nothing special today. I wouldn't bank on him fantasy wise.
    - Nani with a straight Red means automatic 3 games (unless he fights in it which he could get four! lol) he must miss the DG week, Man Utd. Midfield is tough to judge, but I'd suspect that Valencia is lookin good.
    - Cole scored, price should go up.
    - pretty boring fantasy day. Heads up that Lennon MIGHT be back for Spurs game against Wigan should would end Bentley's spell on the right.

Valencia! thank god i didn't sell him!

Pool... at what point do Stevie, Dirk and Nando decide that pool are a sinking ship and that they need to ensure that they have a good world cup?

Anonymous: sinking ship? If every top play who ever played left their team after one sub par season, we'd be in anarchy. Thankfully that doesn't happen. Does Fabregas leave after 5 years without trophies? Does RvP likewise? Does Drogba leave after Scolari puts him on the bench for most of the season? The answer is no, and theres still much more footy left to play.

well I am sure you can find some examples of that happening, as with anything, but Gerrard is LFC for life.

  10. It's not the lack of trophies, but no Champions League football would be a deal breaker. They have to be playing against the best so they can stay in the shop window for their national team managers, and any club managers who might cast an eye their way.

your always playing for you next contract. In the papers you are only as good as your last match. Lads who want to be paid top dollar need to be playing in the lime light in order to impress and capitalize on their form when their next contract begins. All players looking at this as a buisness would be looking to move on.

  12. Kellz, i think you're right re Stevie G. I know certain players are lifer-s, but do you really think torres is? He wants/needs trophies. same with cesc.

Why has no one mentioned the ridiculousness of Oz lumping Dirk Kuyt in with Gerrard and Torres? Liverpool is as good a club as Kuyt is ever likely to play for.

^Torres? torres WILL go back to A Madrid one day. the day just hadn't come(let's revisit this when he is 29/30). As for gerrard, as much as he likes to stay on, we could do with an "enormous" offer[65~70mil] from Real or Inter or basically any team that can afford that price. remember SG will not last forever(29yr old). i supported liverpool way back then, when they were in Uefa cup at best(Houllier's time). Plus, the season is still long enough. teams above us will still drop points. May i be bold enough to say we are still in title race(till mathematically we are out). anyway, world cup's directly after this season, a move at the season's end will therefore NOT increase their chance for world cup. And Stevie, Dirk and Nando will be at the world cup barring injury.
