Sorry about the lack of a Live Chat today but I missed out on the fact that there was no early match today. We're in Tampa with my wife's sister and brother-in-law and it is a perfect beach day (sunny and 80 degrees F without a cloud in the sky) so the Live Chat for the afternoon matches isn't going to happen.
My line-up is Gomes, Verm, Bale, Hutton, BFDB, Modric, Arteta, AJ, FloMal, Drogs, and Bendtner
Heading into next week, I'm looking at Arsenal (home to Wolves and I'll be at the match live), Fulham (home to Wigan and I'll be at the match live), Rovers (at Pompey), Stoke (home to Hull), and Everton (home to WHU). Lots of options on the BD to consider.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.
Cheers - Neal
Any idea why Duff isn't playing for Fulham?
ReplyDelete@ Neal - Have fun in Tampa. Lovely weather I hear. Enjoy yourself man. You've earned the break after some intense blogging :)
You'll be at the Emirates Neal? You'll be keeping an eye on your favourite team then? And Arsenal are playing too! ;-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your vacation (is that what you Americans call it?) mate!
no arteta and drogs on the bench... terrible
ReplyDeleteNo Drogba today! Son of a...
ReplyDeleteMy line-up: Myhill / Bale, Salgado, D. Fox / Arteta, Bullard, Modric, Gerrard / Drogba, Bendtner, Tevez
ReplyDeleteNo Arteta. Drogba on the bench (and likely not coming in). What a crap way to start the day!
Lesson No. 1: NO FRIDAY TRADES! Case in point:
ReplyDelete11pm (PDT) on Friday, Crouch becomes Iceman
8:28am (PDT) on Saturday, Crouch scores goal.
ARGH!!!!
Carew scoring could be a good thing - maybe Drogba gets subbed in for a game winning brace...
ReplyDeleteassist by bale and a goal by Jummy....Villa have tied it up 1-1 so maybe Drogs comes on in the second half. Things are looking up.
ReplyDeleteRooney is out for the late match. So I got a zero from him, Drogs, Arteta, and Verm. AND Arsenal's title hopes may have finally ended. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteNeedless to say, I'm gutted. Hopefully the first MLS match at Red Bull Arena tonight will help make up for it.
Wow! Thank God i drop Drogba for tevez and decided to go with Torres instead of Rooney. Both Drogba/Rooney not playing at all!
ReplyDelete- 0 from Verm is ok, as Gooners didn't even get a clean sheet, so HAD he played, not many points.
ReplyDelete- People who didn't changed their lineups from last week must have had a good day (Lamps/FloMo)
- Portsmouth loses Hereidersson, Webber, and posssibly James? Maybe Neal in his trip over there can brings some cleats and play for Pompey!
- No GREAT options on the BD that stick out. Jummy was already expensive, Same as Lamps and FloMo, maybe Crouchy?!
cant believe i dropped lamps for gerrard, gutted
ReplyDeletetiny
Agree on Crouchy as a decent BD Owen. At least until you decide whether you want him next week for sure or not. Krancjar is a BD option too, as his price will rise even more.
ReplyDeleteCan't imagine anyone had him, but........BBBF with a -17. Scary.
ReplyDeleteWow Jummy is up to 14.77.
ReplyDeleteno drogba rooney arteta, i'm the only one in my league with out lampard or malouda... i'm quitting... so much for diuble weeks...
ReplyDeletei put so much faith in villa... bet the house on dunne an collins... so so sad
ReplyDeleteCheer up Suicidal South African. In Drogba, Rooney, and Arteta you still have top talent for the last 7-8 games. Chances are, they'll be back and great as ever.
ReplyDeleteMy team: Green, Bale, Hutton, Ferreira, Arteta, Adam Johnson, Dunn, Malouda, Drogba, Bendtner, Carew
ReplyDeleteI thought Carew would do ok against a second string Chelski defence and Villa have some decent match-ups coming so it could be a good time to pick some players up although I think Villa are fast becoming the new Bolton
The seven who have played so far averaged just over 9 each which I can't complain about (on 64.5 at present), but Hutton, Drogs and Arteta didn't start although it hasn't hit me too bad cos I think a lot of people have all three. Frusrating though, particularly as Green and Fereirra got me -1.5 between them.
Just dropped Drogba at 22 and change to make room for Tevez, Given and Vermaelen before prices adjust. Hoping it's not a dire mistake, but I guess time will tell. Happy with my week at 110.5 before AJohnson points, but a bit disappointed I didn't keep Tevez in my team. At least I went from Jensen/Tevez to Myhill/Torres. I think I got the better end of the stick.
ReplyDeleteHow did everybody else do?
Finished the week with 133.5 (thank you Mr. Tevez). Dropped Torres but can take consolation in that doing that it allowed me to pick up Crouch and Bentley. Hoping to break into the top 2000 next week. Picked up Bullard on the BD
ReplyDeleteSince Chelsea and Man United are playing is it wise to take Drogba out this week or is it better keeping himm? Help me soccer geniuses!!!
ReplyDeletehow much did you pay for drogba full price no!
ReplyDeleteWOW....Rooney with an ankle and Cesc with a Broken Leg. Where to spend their money.
ReplyDeleteNasri and Tevez i supposed
ReplyDeleteLamps, Malouda, Drogs for captain?
ReplyDeleteHope all is well Jeremy&Neal, haven't seen a post in a while.
ReplyDeleteMy team atm(and probably definite)...
Myhill
Bale/Jagielka/Campbell
Bullard/Etherington/O'Hara/D.Dunn
Saha/Tevez/Crouch
Good luck to all!
WTF!!!!!!!!
