Fernando Torres has completed his move from Atletico Madrid to Liverpool after signing a six-year contract at Anfield. The 23-year-old striker, whose transfer has been reported to have cost the Anfield side up to £26.5million, passed a medical at the club's Melwood training ground on Tuesday.
He briefly flew back to his homeland to say an emotional goodbye to fans in Madrid before arriving back on Merseyside on Wednesday to complete the formalities of the transfer.
+10.
20 plus goals on the way. This could be the last piece of the puzzle for rafa.
ReplyDelete+10 indeed.
ReplyDeletedepends how quickly he adapts though. is it worth having him for the first 3rd/half of the season as cheap but scoring little, in a gamble on whether he'll be amazing later? don't know.
ReplyDeleteAnother big question...
ReplyDeleteWill he start or will he be "rotated."
You have to think he's too valuable (or costly) to rotate. But is it Torres plus one from Voronin, Kuyt, and Crouch? Only Rafa knows.
ReplyDeleteOr not.
I would not expect 20+ goals from El Nino in his first season. His career best at Atletico was 19 I believe & he bagged 14 last season. Don't forget he's got to settle in a new country and get accustomed to new teammates and a style of play.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I like him as a nice cheap YFF pick right away, that will allow me to grab C-Ron.
14 last season...and six of them were penalties. but yeah, he'll be in my eleven
ReplyDelete14 last season...and six of them were penalties
ReplyDeleteHey, if he can convert penalties, he'll be an asset to the squad!
