First Impressions and Second Thoughts (Mostly as a test)

Teams tend to experiment with new players as the season winds down and Fantasy Blogs are no different.  I'm less interested in what you think of the content in this one - I'm sure you've already read everything you want to about last weekend - but I am interested in your comments on the slide show as an alternative to writing long text-driven pieces. Comments more than welcome.

  2. just maximize and you can read it better.
works well, looks better, nice to just have the text to read (when maximized) and not have all google ad crap on the sides. I think it's a good change, I like.

In full screen it looks great, I love it. But the thing that i don't like is "Charlie Adams", come on you are following EPL for so many years so I don't expect such mistakes from you. You knew the guy before Blackpool even played their first Premier League game.

To elaborate, I have read just about all there is on the games last weekend, but always interested in your analysis and breakdown, in fact I look forward to it. But if this is easier for you, I obviously understand writing the blog is a love/passion and not a weekly wage earning labor.

Prefer the old "text-driven" format - it easier to read, particularly when using mobile devices.

    Can't read in iPhone

  8. Love the blog! But as far as the experiment goes, even "big-screening" this on my MacBook is difficult to read - maybe just the color choice? Grey background with shadowed text makes it a much slower read.

ManU did not score in 'Fergie Time', Berba scored the winner in 88 min. Just saying =)

Using a mobile device and can't join in the fun, i see nothing, only the comments gimme a clue as to what's happening.

Not a fan - sorry Neal. Not as easy to read when 'the boss' is around.

    No good for Blackberry either.

  14. I also prefer the old read-n'-scroll format. Perhaps my expectations for inserts have been raised by excellent features such as chat rolls and videocasts, but a slideshow seems like a lot of effort for minimal reader/author interactivity. I like the content of the slideshow, though.

Hi Neal, I am appreciated you make change for improvement, but this time I found it difficult to read your new format by iPhone. Maybe a revised edition is needed?

Nice to try new things, but I agree that this isn't cutting it. I just can't make myself read it.
