Winners and losers

The US did not come to play.  Period, end of story.  We were on our heels from the opening whistle, got caught out on our first attack and gave up a goal on the counter.  Never recovered.  The Czechs just sat back in banks for 4s and let the US come at them.  The US obliged and returned the favor by presenting them the ball time and time again.

And in the winners column, well, it looks like Arsenal have bought themselves a star.  And probably saved a few million pounds by getting the deal done before the Cup.

Rosicky +10

I disagree. It was Nedved +10. Actually, truth be told, it was Nedved+Rosicky against 11 kids (some of whom were complaining just a few weeks back about Mexico being seeded ahead of them...)

I'm pretty sure he meant put Rosicky in your fantasy team next season, but it's all good.

Horrible performance from USA, but how about that Tim Cahill?

  4. Nedved was pretty good but Rosicky was AWESOME. Both played the middle. We know Nedved is good on the wing as well - we'll see if Rosicky can translate his brilliant central play onto the wing. Fortunately, Arsenal's wing midfielders cut into the middle a lot which will give him time to unleash that crazy shot (not that Premiership midfielders will give him THAT much space).
