Boumsong started life as a holding midfielder and is not a natural defender, but copes fine when playing alongside an 'organiser'.For 8 million pounds you HAVE to do better than that.
Also, it looks like France is leaning towards a Henry/Saha partnership up front. Sounds like an EPL fantasy lineup!
and i think holland played RVN, RVP and robben up front. Kuyt was injured. not sure if they did do it. but it was a van basten said he might. v s australia in the 1-1 friendly.

ReplyDeleteThe problem is not of Boumsong's making per se, but Souness's. I am sure I wouldn't be a good defender even if some stupid manager shelled out the big bucks for me ;-)
aye, he has destroyed 2 clubs already, blackburn n nufc....and roeder got the results with the same bunch of 'duds'....but still boumsong n bramble do combine to make sunderland look like they have italy's defence at times
