Blackburn defender Andre Ooijer has claimed he was forced out of PSV Eindhoven after the club failed to keep their word over a new contract.The way he's played in the EPL, I can understand their reluctance to keep him. From the man himself,

they were supposed to be very decent players before they came to the premiership. they've barely played a game and aren't looking good.
but i still have faith in the 3 dutch men. not sure about van der meyde tho. dunno what his story is. he used to play for inter didn't he? and now he's not even playing for everton. is he injured? why did he move to everton? was he a massive flop?
it's been all downhill for andy pandy since leaving ajax. still he managed 3 assists from a handful of games for everton last season. doesnt help that he's injury prone - n that's some undestatement.
ReplyDeletevan der Meyde (who I really liked when he played for Ajax) has been dogged not only by injuries and the fact that Dutch players seem to fare much better in England and Spain than Italy but also rumors of alcohol problems. I don't have any inside info but he's an undoubtedly talented player who needs to have something of a re-birth or risk losing out on a once-promising career.

ReplyDeleteOoijer's performance at PSV earned him a place in the Dutch squad. Same goes for Wilfred Bouma. Now they are both struggling.
