West Ham are set to be without winger Matthew Etherington for the first three games of the new season after he damaged his knee in training.Etherington collided with striker Marlon Harewood, who landed on his knee and put him out of action for a month. Not sure who would replace Eth on the left of WHU's midfield. Would Konchesky move forward from his left-back position, with Spector slotting into the defense? That would be quite interesting to fantasy managers. Might Benayoun switch flanks and Harewood move to the right? Or perhaps a "player to be named later" like Milner or Emerton?

Gut feeling we are unlikely to get another player in before the start of the season. Agee with above analysis. Yossi can play everywhere. And given the current glut of strikers in the side, I wouldn't be surprised if AP throws Marlon out there and goes with three up front (from Ashton, MH, C. Cole, and Bobby Z). Still have Teddy, too, for those ten-minute cameos. Will be waiting Matty's return but it should be fun in the meantime.
