Like her husband, Sylvie seems very comfortable on the bench.

"I gave everything. Also I was playing in a position which is not comfortable for me, I'm not a left winger."
Good news for fantasy managers with Gareth Bale in their side.
... and at this point, isn't that the large marjority of us?
The more I think about this, the more I see Spurs going to a somewhat unconventional 1-5-4. I just don't see VDV, Modric or Lennon sitting on the bench...Harry favors playing Bale in MF on the left and you need a hardman (Palacios or THudd) in the middle of the pitch as well. Man, that sure sounds like a vertically-challenged line-up (especially if Defoe is up front) but do we really think VDV, Lennon, Modric or Bale does not get an automatic start every week? Just hard to fathom...I mean, I still can't believe that Niko Kranjcar is going to find it hard to get much playing PT this year (hello Carling Cup).
ReplyDeleteThen again, as a Spurs fan maybe this is just me having a hard time acclimating to my team actually having quality depth on the squad as it goes into its first CL campaign in my lifetime.
When VDV comes home to Sylvie I can't imagine him being all that upset for too long!
ReplyDelete'Arry has always said Bale is a left back. Modric is now healthy (played the full 90 against Greece yesterday) so I think he could play on the left of midfield with VDV in the middle along with Huddlestone and Lennon on the right. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Spurs only played with a 4-5-1 formation against Stoke, the rest some variation of 4-4-2.
