Los Angeles Galaxy forward Carlos Ruiz underwent surgery on his right knee on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old Ruiz, who suffered the injury in Los Angeles’ season-opening 4-0 loss to the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, also suffered a sprained MCL to the knee.
A native of Guatemala, Ruiz had an arthroscopic procedure Tuesday
morning to repair a slight tear of the meniscus and is expected to miss
4-6 weeks.
