Opinion, commentary and humour on fantasy English Premier League football, the English Premier League, Major League Soccer and international football. From people who should know... better.
i reckon it means less points. as we saw against chelsea. but hes still a great player.
do you think i should play reyes + henry or reyes + gerrard + pedersen?
i think gerrard is going to start scoring loads of points, hes got about a 14 point average this season atm. but reyes and henry, at home (won 5 out of 5 at home and scored 10 let in 1), vs sunderland (bottom of the premiership!). I think i might go with henry and reyes.
my other attackers are owen and collins john (i support fulham) but i wanna get d vassell into the team for john. i could so this if i sold jarosik and bought flamini for 2 (he is playing sunderland with reyes and henry) but so far this season hes got -4 fantasy points in 9 games!
i dont think mg pederson is good enough compare to murphy. rover always play a violent game, it may contribute a lot of freekick to the opponent. so murphy can take advantage of free kick. if u dont want pederson, u can also awitch him to bellamy. bellamy had quite excelent form currently
forget these two and save up to buy henry... van der meyde is a decent cheap player (around 5), and vukic (8ish) at home to wigan (their bubble's got to burst sometime innit)
Marvelous Marvin vs. the Hitman? Manute Bol vs. William The Refrigerator Perry is perhaps a better starting point. actually, that makes no sense, but i wanted to make the claim anyway. Knowing almost nothing about soccer, I'd do what a lovely female acquaintance does when it comes to office pools for things like the superbowl or the NCAA bball tourney -- pick the nicer jersey. in that vein, i'm going to go with MGP - his name is much cooler (or nerdier) - for some reason it evokes the time of camelot and the Pendragon era. Murphy on the other hand, well...that's just the name of a classic dry stout, isn't it? a fine, proven choice, but not quite Guinness, is it? that all said, i believe the fantastic forecast of scattered clouds will combine with a westerly wind of 10 km/h on saturday to give the addicks their first non-win on the road this season. murphy i predict will give an assist to a returning Bent, who has been MIA in fantasy for the last several weeks. MGP, on the other hand, will score a brace and return to form while also picking up his second yellow card in as many weeks. another guy to look at is defender Khizanishvili who sold under 4 units two weeks ago and has provided almost 20 pts despite a yellow card. now that's impressive. but i digress from the top of the draw...actually, i have no more wind to add to my 2 worthless cents. but if you have made it this far, i sincerely thank you for reading and wonder if there isn't important work that has gone by the wayside to read this dribble...good luck to all this weekend and most of all to the lost souls at ManU who are playing so badly in a World Cup year that many former distractors are hoping many of their international cappers regain a semblance of form before the spring, and at the least not bring the nasty disease that has afflicted the entire club with them to the national team. Rio - please get yourself to a doctor soon and find out whether or not you're suffering from either a concussion or, like US President Bush, some form of presenile dementia. Something is not right with that boy...maybe they should ground him and take his TV away from him so he can't watch his favorite programmes, 'Loose Women,' or 'Trisha'. While I have yet to experience these idiot box must-sees, i will guarantee that a closer inspection will reveal subliminal messages telling Rio to stick his head in his own arse...quite effectively, i might add. and finally, here's a last lame prediction: Lampard and the gang taking multiple deuces all over Old Trafford's venerated walls. and you can take that to the bank.
Gamst-Pedersen played for my hometown team before he went to England. Will definitely not pick him.
ReplyDeleteHe has overperformed so far for Blackburn. But when he plays international matches for Norway he is the same old player.
His strength is his finishing abilities (and that will get him some goals) but apart from that he can be VERY anonymous.
Don't expect him to provide you with 10-15 points each match for the entire season...
maybe not EVERY match... but this one?
ReplyDeleteAnd does Bellamy's return hurt MGP or allow him more opportunities for pts?
