Gerrard will miss Pool trip - Blackpool Today
LIVERPOOL skipper Steven Gerrard will miss Wednesday's visit to Blackpool after being sent off in the FA Cup defeat at Manchester United.
The England midfielder has been hit with a three-match suspension after receiving a straight red card for an ugly two-footed challenge on Michael Carrick early in the tie, which United won courtesy of Ryan Giggs' controversial first-minute penalty.
Ah, the joys of two-gamers.
Lets see if picking Torres was the right choice, he looks lost, doesn't look like he'll score even if he was allowed to walk into the goal with the ball in his hands.
ReplyDeleteLiverpool players are officially dead to to
ReplyDeletehuhu..Liverpool will bounce back..Torres still valuable,, believe me..
ReplyDeletethats what I said to myself all last season whenever I picked Torres...
ReplyDeletestupid manager! should rest gerrard and torres!
ReplyDeleteConsidering Cole and Meireles can slot right into Gerrard's role, this isn't as huge a suspension as it might seem. (Assuming Cole starts looking like the Cole of old rather than the hobbled pensioner of late.)
ReplyDeleteAnd that was never a penalty, considering that Carrick came in from behind him.
Er, red card, I mean. Mentally crossed wires somewhere.
