Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Morocco international striker Marouane Chamakh on a long-term contract from Bordeaux.+10?
Chamakh has long been expected to join the Gunners and will arrive at Emirates Stadium on a free transfer at the end of his Bordeaux deal.
The 26-year-old has been a consistent scorer for the 2009 French champions and will bolster Arsene Wenger's attacking options for next season.

Depends on how cheap he comes into the game. Arsh/Verm upon-entry-cheap and he'll stay as long as he's fit. I doubt I'll put him in my team initially if he costs any more than 9, though.
ReplyDeleteWell, We won't get Drogba at 10.66 anymore, so I'll take a punt on Chamakh even at 9, and hope he pans out. It feels like he's already had a year seasoning at Emirates.
ReplyDeletefolks, he is not a shoe-in for fantasy production. chamakh played in 4-4-2 and arsenal have a 4-3-3 so he will have to learn a wing role, similar to what anelka does for chelsea, not a lot of fantasy points and the fact that he has to learn a new role. if arsenal go back to the 4-4-2 they had last year, he is a much better pick. gourcuff and him where linking all over the forward half of the field. he was making very intelligent passes.
ReplyDeleteI had him on my French Ligue 1 fantasy team most, if not all year. He finished at a price of 8.41 (I think, if what I see is correct) and totaled 197.5 points on the season. Just some FYI for everyone if you might have been wondering.
ReplyDeletehmmm... I think its quite likely that between Man City/Spurs/Chelsea there might be better cheap options at striker. At present however...+10. Enjoying seeing that phrase for the first time this summer!
