Keane to Birmingham

Blues confirm Keane talks: Birmingham have confirmed they are in talks with Tottenham about signing striker Robb... http://bit.ly/eSkZWGless than a minute ago via twitterfeed

I think I approve of this move. McLeish has one striker in Phillips whom he seems to trust, however he doesn't seem to have any faith in Phillip's ability to play for more than 10-15 minutes in a match. If Keane can dove-tail with Jerome, Hleb, et al, and they can find him in dangerous positions, Birmingham might stay up after all.  Remember Christophe Dugarry?  Or Mauro Zarate?

Harry reported that Luka Modric and Jermain Defoe were both forced out of the action with groin injuries.

Niko Kranjcar came on for Luka Modric at half-time while JD limped off and was replaced by Robbie Keane after 66 minutes.

"We'll have to see how they are," added Harry, who now prepares for the trip to Stoke in the Premier League on Saturday.

Keane suspension stands as appeal fails

Robbie Keane will miss the north London derby with Arsenal after Tottenham's appeal against his red card for serious foul play against Birmingham was rejected.

The striker, 27, will now serve a three-match domestic suspension as a result of the dismissal for a challenge on Birmingham's Fabrice Muamba... Keane will also miss games against Manchester City and Portsmouth.

Meanwhile, Spurs have been boosted by the return of Ledley King for the reserve team clash with Fulham.
