As the blog's resident Gooner, I figured it was my moral obligation to weigh in on the move of Clichy to Manchester City over the weekend. As is usually the case with Arsenal over the last five or six seasons, my feelings on the topic are complex. Here's some thinking on as many aspects of the move as I can think of:

So seemingly we'll get a start for Dzeko with AJohnson and possibly Kolarov in support. What's interesting for "next" week is the further suggestion that Tevez is being rested for the trip to Bolton.

Bolton... the club that has shipped four to Blackpool, two to Sunderland (of no strikers fame), one to Rovers (might as well not have any strikers), and three to Fulham in their last four matches. Tevez still commands top-tier money north of 17, but maybe it's worth an investment. He'd certainly be a differential if you're looking to stand-out from the crowd.

Kolarov blow for City
Kolarov blow for City - Manchester Evening News
Thankfully, his price dropped after the Spurs' match so it shouldn't be a problem to drop him now and pick him up when he returns.
But whom do you pick up? Ferreira? Faubert? What other defenders are worth getting at the price?
New Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov is out for at least two weeks after damaging ankle ligaments against Tottenham.

Manchester City seal Kolarov deal
City seal Kolarov deal - Yahoo! Eurosport
Busy weekend so missed that this transfer was finalized. Kolarov will be +10. I have no reservations about saying that. The only fantasy teams that won't have him in their line-ups will be those run by die-hard Red Devils who would never consider a player from the blue side of the city.
"He has the ability to play in numerous positions and is very good in midfield," Mancini told the club's official website. You had me at "midfield".
"This is an additional benefit to the team. He has a fantastic international career ahead of him. I first saw Kolarov in his Lazio debut back in 2007. I was impressed by the speed and strength of someone so young.
"I have watched him a lot since then and so have the Manchester City scouts. His attacking capability is very good. He is fast and can shoot with power and accuracy.
"He was composed on the ball, had an excellent delivery with his left foot and was technically very able."
