Dirk Kuyt will miss Liverpool's next two games with an ankle injury sustained playing for Holland at the weekend.
Although a scan has revealed the injury is not as serious as first thought, strained ankle ligaments will keep him out of the home game with Blackburn on Saturday and next Wednesday's Champions League trip to Bordeaux.
Liverpool hope Kuyt may recover in time to face Manchester United at Old Trafford on October 22.
What a match that was!! I'm surprised that Holland didn't win by 4-1. Sneijder, Van Persie and Babel were one fire on that pitch.. I mean SWAMP.
ReplyDeleteNot to wish for harm unto others, but may he not recover in time for the OT trip. I like MU to have their matches 1 sided, namely in their favour ;-)
ReplyDeleteDoes the Kuyt injury mean that it's worth considering the other Liverpool strikers this week? Is it a cert that Bellamy & Crouch will play together, or might Fowler get a chance?
ReplyDeleteYou can never predict what master tinker will do :P
ReplyDeleteNeal - can you please remove the homepage photo of Darren Bent scoring on Arsenal?
ReplyDeletethx, fellow gooner
Sadly, Jeremy is in charge of the artwork for the site - I'm about as untechnically gifted a writer as exists out there.
ReplyDeleteBut, I'm pretty sure there will be some new visuals soon.
Cheers - Neal
