I'm going to assume that the "rolls into the valley" crack in the headline isn't a reference to Reid's alleged portlyness. Otherwise, I'm sure they would have just written, "Charlton Sign Fat Bastard". Regardless, Reid, if he can avoid stupid yellow cards, will give Charlton a provider from the midfield and someone with a good left-foot for free-kicks and corners to complement JFH's right.

And with Thomas injured, and Rommedahl never living up to the hype, Reid may go straight into the starting XI.
