WTF?
McFadden's assist gone again!
Anyone else missing points (again!) from Saturday's Everton/Villa match? Other than, you know, Villa.
Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is. A shot is classified as an attempt that would be a goal if there is no keeper in the net to stop it (as it is in hockey).
If the shot does hit the post the goalie doesn't get a save, because he doesn't have to do anything to save it. i realize this is a bit of reach but, if the player gets a shot in this sit. why shouldn't the keeper get a save?
If the ball is not going to go in the net, it's not a successful attempt, therefore not a shot on target, period.
If you do start counting shots that hit the bar, which do you count? The ones that hit the outside and lead to a goal kick? The ones that cannon off the bar and outside the 18?
I think if there are points to be given in this situation, maybe give .5 pts for each attempt, but don't go giving full points for an unsuccessful attempt. And a deflection off a bar is not a pass, which means no assist.
In other news, Cisse is going to move to Tottenham? Way to get onto a team that doesn't have very tight competition for striker places, guy.
ReplyDeleteTottenham already has Mido, Keane and Defoe so Cisse might just be left out again.
ReplyDeleteYep Beatties assist is gone too!!
ReplyDeleteso is Ronaldo's SOT shd b 2 instead of 1
